Income Report – May of 2015 – Managing VAs & Amazon FBA
I am a little bit late with income report for the May of 2015, but anyway here it is!
Alright, so what I have been working on in May?
- In May, I started managing three full-time VAs and trying to scale out current websites.
- Another time I spent in researching the product for Private Labeling business
Let’s talk about managing new VAs.
It’s hard thing to do. If you don’t have fully automated system then you will spend tons of time like I did of managing them. Well before I hired them I had some tutorials for daily tasks written already. For example if there are no new assignments the they are working on daily tasks like: blog commenting, outreach and so on.Most of my time went to writing tutorials how to building backlinks, outreach and so on.
Most of my time went to writing tutorials how to building backlinks, outreach, how to get links from Wikipedia, how to acquire dead backlinks on websites and so on.
As you can see from below I also started a new way of tracking websites success with metrics like Moz, MajesticSEO, Ahref and simple Google Analytics! This will give more accurate data.
A Little bit about Amazon FBA.
I decided to pursue Private Labeling business and selling products on Amazon via FBA.
I can say one thing it takes long time to find first product. After around 3 weeks of product reseraching I decided on my first PL product. It will be in electronic category. Yes, electronics. It’s not the best category for first timers, but I couldn’t find products in another categories.
Anyway I ordered 2 batches of samples with logo to my house from china and spent some cash as you can see in below in expenses category.

It’s all steady here and, I am not getting any improvement of ranking in Google. I think the website was penalized in Google before because I built it on expired domain.
The main keyword which is getting around 12k monthly searches can’t pass 9th page in SERP. But I am seeing big improvement in Bing and Yahoo. The same keyword keep the rank on the 1st place as well as other keywords increasing in ranking.
With the new writer I able to publish new articles twice per week.
So what about link building?
I didn’t build any high do-follow backlinks yet. In the May the VA did: 156 comments, 47 answers on quora and yahoo answers websites. Pretty much no-follow backlinks only was built in May.
Also why the revenue went down for this website? Because I was testing EazyAzon for more than a week and, I lost orders for this days :/
Btw numbers will be more excited in June Income Report 😉

This website is getting traffic! Oh yeah, ranking is going up and the many keywords are ranking on the top 2 pages.
The VA did awesome job for the website and did: 150 comments and 86 answers on quora and answers yahoo websites.
I also subscribed and started running Panda Bot and after only 24hrs my keyword with 60.5k monthly searches improved the ranking from 99 to 28! I thought it sound sketchy before I started using, but I decided to pull the trigger. And it does work 😉 I have been using it across my all websites and ranking slowly improving all over.
The niche doesn’t convert really good and, I will need to expand the niche in the future.

So what went well in May?
- Training and managing VAs.

- Expenses are still high.
- Lost one week of affiliate earnings
- Earnings didn’t increase
- Ranking of Supplement website didn’t improve on Google.
What next?
My last day at my full time job was end of the May and my old manager pull me on new position. Right now I am pretty busy with new position. And I also got the puppy. The most amazing creature. I have facebook page Thor The Weimaraner. Honestly he is like a little baby and another full time job.
And in meantime I will continue working on the websites and explore Amazon FBA because I have only 5 month to succeed! Why? Because I am planning to move to different city where I won’t find job as good as I have right now.
